Time's Up
This show was produced by the UMD Theatre Department in the spring of 2019. This was a devised production based on the Hrovsvitha's play Paphnutius or The Conversion of the Harlot Thais. The show was produced in the Dudley Experimental Theater on campus with the ability to travel to a festival.

Harlots donned dyed scarfs to represent fire in this dramatic scene. The money thrown by Thais is represented by golden rose petals which caught the light beautifully and even remained on stage for the rest of the performance.
Interesting Challenges
The show had to have an otherworldly feel with props from different eras including a small notebook in the same scene as a tablet. Some challenges for this show included dying fabric for the first time to represent fire, finding a balance in periods, and representing gold being thrown in a beautiful way. This last objective was completed using gold rose petals that were thrown every night.
